Abelana Game Reserve

Abelana Game Reserve spans 15,000ha (36,000 acre) and is set in the Limpopo Province, close to the renowned Kruger National Park in South Africa’s beautiful Lowveld – the country’s prime big game region.

“Abelana” means to “share amongst each other” in North Sotho.

This Big Five private game reserve, in association with the Mashishimale Community who own the land, offers an authentic safari experience with a sensitive ecological touch. Situated on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn in the beautiful Klein Karoo, this five-star homestead (circa 1852) has been carefully renovated, maintaining the yellowwood beams and elegant antique furniture. The rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to 12 individually furnished bedrooms. The two Executive Suites and Bird’s Cottage are more privately situated, each with their own outdoor terrace and pool. Hog Hollow Country Lodge

Situated on the edge of indigenous forest, east of the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, Hog Hollow Country Lodge overlooks the Matjies River Gorge and Tsitsikamma Mountains.
